If the Agitation is called merely on assurances given by the Administration then it will be very unfortunate for members that the leaders have failed once again to deliver.
Hope the JCA and the ITGOA CHQ will soon declare what transpired in the meeting with the Member (P& V) today.

Many Many Congratulations to MR.S. Kannan Of Tamilnadu Who has been promoted to the post of ACIT by single order of the CBDT. Thanks to our Association and its Members especially those of Gujarat Charge who participated in the agitation with full vigor and enthusiasm. It may the first of its kind in the History of CBDT that a single order has been passed to promote a retiring GROUP B officer to GROUP A post. The action of CBDT and hon'ble Chairman is praiseworthy.We hope that this tradition will continue in future also. Once again Congratulations to MR. Kannan and since he is retiring today we also wish him a Happy and Healthy retired life.
